like "tighten your drum heads" and "dust off your cymabls" (no I'm not
kidding)... or even worse, they're too advanced -- overloading you with
a jumbled mess of ideas that leaves you dazed and confused.
In fact, that's why
I decided to create this system. As an educator and professional
drummer, I meet dozens of musicians who are on the edge of
giving up. They call me, and they're frustrated because the harder they
tried, the more confused they got.
So basically, I'm the guy who has to clean up the other teacher's mess.
that "magical day". My student of mine hugged me and he said, "Thanks
for pulling me out of the confusion zone. You gave
me all the shortcuts I needed to play the drums TODAY.
Gerson, you've got to share your system with the world. There's too
many other confused dudes like me who need to learn this stuff."
that's why I
decided to make this system available to aspiring drummers like you.
Let me introduce

to share some of my credentials with you. Honestly, there

Why I'm Uniquely Qualified To
Teach You the Fastest, Easiest
To Play the Drums:
I am hanging out with legendary

I've been playing
teaching and playing drums for over 30 years. I've studied music at the
City College of Los Angeles, as well as with
legends like Joseph Mitchell
of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Raul

and Richie "Gajate" Garcia,
drummer who'se toured with Diana

simple 4 step formula to learning the drums as fast
as humanly possible...
Is As Easy As "1 - 2 - 3 - 4"
1. Get a basic beat going with your right hand on the hi-hat.
This is so
- you simply start hitting the hi-hat with your right drum stick.
Just establish a
basic count: ONE - TWO - THREE - FOUR. Count it aloud, stay in rhythm,
and just take it nice and slow at first.
2. Add the left hand on the snare drum.
After you got
basic beat going with your right hand, now you want to start hitting
the snare drum with your left drum stick. Keep the basic count going
with your right hand.
For your basic beat, hit the snare with your left hand on beats 2 and
3. Add the bass drum kick with your right foot.
Ok, so you got
left and right hands -- now let's add the feet. Just use your right
foot to work the bass drum kick pedal. Remember to keep counting ONE
TWO THREE FOUR and keep that rhythm going. Now, simply add the bass
drum kicks on beats 1 and 3.
4. Add the hi-hat pedal with your left foot.
Your beat should
already sound good but now let's add one more piece - the hi-hat pedal
with the left foot. For this basic beat, just add the left foot on
beats 2 and 4. Make sure to keep counting and playing in rhythm. Start
nice and slow and later you can increase the speed. That's it -- you're
playing the drums!
on Stage with Solid Skills
And Unshakeable Confidence
Having confidence and overcoming
stagefright are 2 of the biggest challenges you'll face as an apsiring
musician. Listen, there's all kinds of psychological theories and
to "pump yourself up", but when the rubber hits the road, 90% of it
comes down to your technique.
If you know what you're doing in
front of the drum kit, then you'll be confident about your abilities,
and you'll be comfortable playing with others and in front of others.
Your anxiety will
transform into sheer excitement, espeically right before a show. And
music starts, everything will fall into place.
I want to give you
the skills and confidence you're looking for, so you can play the drums
and start having fun with other musicians almost immediately.

With Drum Rhythm #1:
The Basic Beat
you're a total beginner
(or haven't even bought a drum kit yet), don't worry. I go through
everything you need to know - from setting up your kit, to positioning
to holding the sticks, all the way through playing some serious drums.
- You'll get started
with the basic, tried-and-true beat. You can
use it for rock, country, gospel... Just about any style where you want
to keep a solid beat. - 7:56
teach the rhythm to you using my easy 4 step process - first the
right hand, then the left hand, then the right foot, then the left
foot. I'll ALSO teach you the same rhythm beat by beat. So you'll
have 2 ways to learn it.
I'll actually give
you both methods on every beat I teach you. Both are fine, and you can
use whatever is easiest for you. I do this
to absolutely guarantee you'll understand what's going on and so you'll
be able to play the beats right away. Then I'll play the beat
over a backing track (which you'll also get a copy of!) so you can hear
what it sounds like with a band.
Finally, I'll play it over a
slowed down version of the same track in case the first one was too
fast for you. Again you'll get a copy of all the backing tracks I use
on these videos. Here's more stuff:
to play on the ride cymbal instead of the hi-hat. This is one
of the easiest ways to start adding variety and creativity to your

The Rock-n-Roll "Ringo" Beat
the Crowd Away with Drum Rhythm #4:
the instantly recognizable rock-n-roll beat that's been used all
throughout the 1960s and is still used today to drive many famous
songs and sounds. As usual, I'll break everything down beat by beat.

time, meaning 6 beats... So instead
of counting ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR, you count ONE-TWO-THREE-ONE-TWO-THREE.
If it sounds complicated , don't
worry - IT'S NOT. I'll show you exactly what to do. With this beat,
you'll be playing what's
called a triplet feel.
And you'll have everything need
These 5 core beats will give you
an awesome foundation and you use them to get started playing your
favorite styles -- rock, blues, jazz, funk, pop, country, gospel,
or whatever you want. Don't get me wrong -- I'm not saying you'll be a
master in one hour, but you'll be able to at least
get started with these 5 beats.
And that's only the first DVD in
this 3 DVD series! I want to help you become a solid
a solid drummer in record time, so on DVD 2, I will teach you all about

help you create a greater variety of cool sounds. 5:38

So just to recap -- On DVD 1,
you'll learn the basic beats. On DVD 2, you'll more about technique.
And I'll drive it
all home on DVD 3 when I give a "live" lesson to a student who has
never played drums
before, teaching the same basic beats on DVD 1.
