Are you ready to start playing the drums TODAY?

"Forget Complicated Learning Methods.
New Super Simple System Guarantees
You'll Rock Out on the Drums TODAY!"

Dear Soon-To-Be-Mindblowing Drummer,

Do you want to learn to play the drums and start rocking out with other musicians, literally overnight? Well guess what -- YOU CAN! Maybe that sounds like a wild claim, but if you take just 5 minutes to read this letter, I'll show you how you can do it with an easy 4 step formula.

And I intend to prove it. You might be thinking "How is this possible?"

It's simple...

I've created what's possibly the quickest, easiest step-by-step instructional course ever for beginner drummers...

I know that's a big claim, especially with the hundreds of books, videos and instructors already out there. So, I'll explain why this package is so special...

The answer is: A sequential step-by-step learning system that quickly teaches you a solid repertoire of beats.

Unfortunately, most books, videos
and even personal instructors
fail to understand this secret.

They're either too basic, feeding you lots of almost useless information like "tighten your drum heads" and "dust off your cymabls" (no I'm not kidding)... or even worse, they're too advanced -- overloading you with a jumbled mess of ideas that leaves you dazed and confused.

In fact, that's why I decided to create this system. As an educator and professional drummer, I meet dozens of musicians who are on the edge of giving up. They call me, and they're frustrated because the harder they tried, the more confused they got. So basically, I'm the guy who has to clean up the other teacher's mess.

Then there was that "magical day". My student of mine hugged me and he said, "Thanks for pulling me out of the confusion zone. You gave me all the shortcuts I needed to play the drums TODAY. Gerson, you've got to share your system with the world. There's too many other confused dudes like me who need to learn this stuff."

So, that's why I decided to make this system available to aspiring drummers like you.

Let me introduce myself...

My name is Gerson Reyes and since you probably don't know me, I'd like to share some of my credentials with you. Honestly, there are a lot of fly-by-night clowns posing as "experts" on the Internet and it's important to know you're dealing with a qualified instructor.

Here's Why I'm Uniquely Qualified To
Teach You the Fastest, Easiest
Way To Play the Drums:

Victor
Here I am hanging out with legendary
bass player with Victor Wooten.

I've been playing teaching and playing drums for over 30 years. I've studied music at the City College of Los Angeles, as well as with legends like Joseph Mitchell of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Raul Rico (percussionist for Santana) and Richie "Gajate" Garcia, a famous drummer who'se toured with Diana Ross, John Denver and other superstars.

I'm currently an instructor at East Los Angeles College as well as at the Belmont High School and Roybal High School in Los Angeles. Before that, I taught at Lincoln High School for 10 years. I've worked with hundreds and hundreds of students of all ages. Also, I played in the Los Angeles Honor Band and played in the Rose Parade for many years.

Gene Simmons
"I love hanging out with big legends like
Gene Simmons."
Nowadays, I perform with my own latin jazz band in Los Angeles, and I'm frequently asked to travel worldwide to perform with famous artists like spanish gospel star Juan Carlos Alvarado and the Banjo Brothers. I've played in front of 20,000 screaming fans in huge venues like the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena.

One of my students has toured with Michael Jackson and Madonna. Another has performed with Jessica Simpson and many, many more of students have had massive success.

Now, here's the simple 4 step formula to learning the drums as fast as humanly possible...
Playing the Drums
Is As Easy As "1 - 2 - 3 - 4"

Step 1. Get a basic beat going with your right hand on the hi-hat.

This is so simple - you simply start hitting the hi-hat with your right drum stick.

Just establish a basic count: ONE - TWO - THREE - FOUR. Count it aloud, stay in rhythm, and just take it nice and slow at first.

Step 2. Add the left hand on the snare drum.

After you got the basic beat going with your right hand, now you want to start hitting the snare drum with your left drum stick. Keep the basic count going with your right hand. For your basic beat, hit the snare with your left hand on beats 2 and 4.

Step 3. Add the bass drum kick with your right foot.

Ok, so you got the left and right hands -- now let's add the feet. Just use your right foot to work the bass drum kick pedal. Remember to keep counting ONE TWO THREE FOUR and keep that rhythm going. Now, simply add the bass drum kicks on beats 1 and 3.

Step 4. Add the hi-hat pedal with your left foot.

Your beat should already sound good but now let's add one more piece - the hi-hat pedal with the left foot. For this basic beat, just add the left foot on beats 2 and 4. Make sure to keep counting and playing in rhythm. Start nice and slow and later you can increase the speed. That's it -- you're playing the drums!

Play on Stage with Solid Skills
And Unshakeable Confidence

Having confidence and overcoming stagefright are 2 of the biggest challenges you'll face as an apsiring musician. Listen, there's all kinds of psychological theories and "woo-woo" techniques to "pump yourself up", but when the rubber hits the road, 90% of it comes down to your technique.

If you know what you're doing in front of the drum kit, then you'll be confident about your abilities, and you'll be comfortable playing with others and in front of others.

Your anxiety will transform into sheer excitement, espeically right before a show. And when the music starts, everything will fall into place.

I want to give you the skills and confidence you're looking for, so you can play the drums and start having fun with other musicians almost immediately.

"Practice Time is No Obstacle...
All You need is 15 Minutes a Day!"

If you were under the impression that you need to spend hours every day to learn an instrument, I've got some great news for you... You can learn the drums in just 15 minutes a day.

You see, it doesn't take years to sound like a pro, especially when you use the "Pareto Principle". This principle says that 20% of what you do creates 80% of the results you get. If you focus on a few small, critical factors you'll get BIG RESULTS.

In other words, if you focus on the "critical 20%," you'll get WHOPPING RESULTS instantly!

Inside of Drums Made Simple you'll automatically learn THE CRITICAL 20% that makes all the difference in the world. In fact, you'll be sounding like a pro so fast you won't believe your ears.

Now, here's a detailed description of some of the specific drumming tips, tricks and secrets you're about to learn...

You'll Be Playing Instantly
With Drum Rhythm #1:
The Basic Beat

  • If you're a total beginner (or haven't even bought a drum kit yet), don't worry. I go through everything you need to know - from setting up your kit, to positioning yourself comfortably, to holding the sticks, all the way through playing some serious drums. (See 3:45)

  • You'll get started with the basic, tried-and-true beat. You can use it for rock, country, gospel... Just about any style where you want to keep a solid beat. - 7:56

  • I'll teach the rhythm to you using my easy 4 step process - first the right hand, then the left hand, then the right foot, then the left foot. I'll ALSO teach you the same rhythm beat by beat. So you'll really have 2 ways to learn it.

I'll actually give you both methods on every beat I teach you. Both are fine, and you can use whatever is easiest for you. I do this to absolutely guarantee you'll understand what's going on and so you'll be able to play the beats right away. Then I'll play the beat over a backing track (which you'll also get a copy of!) so you can hear what it sounds like with a band.

Finally, I'll play it over a slowed down version of the same track in case the first one was too fast for you. Again you'll get a copy of all the backing tracks I use on these videos. Here's more stuff:

  • How to play on the ride cymbal instead of the hi-hat. This is one of the easiest ways to start adding variety and creativity to your playing. 17:31

  • How to get more and more comfortable, and develop better feel everytime you play a rhythm. - 18:31
Rock the House
With Drum Rhythm #2:
The Rock Ballad Beat

  • This beat is a little different than the first one because we're going to be playing eighth notes instead of quarter notes. It's the key to many rock classics like "Every Breath You Take". See 20:31

  • The cross-stick technique to play on the rim of the snare drum. This give you a totally new vibe! And I'll show how to find that sweet spot to get a nice sound. 24:04

  • I'll show 4 you different combinations , or ways to play this rhythm, using both the hi-hat and the ride cymbal, plus both the snare drum and the cross-stick technique. And I'll also show you how to freely mix and match the beats so you can get creative and play your own variations. 25:37
Have a Blast Playing Drum Rhythm #3:
The Rock-n-Roll "Ringo" Beat

  • Learn the instantly recognizable rock-n-roll beat that's been used all throughout the 1960s and is still used today to drive many famous songs and sounds. As usual, I'll break everything down beat by beat. 37:20.

  • I'll also break it down by "Just the hands" and "just the feet". Learning the beats this way will give you even more independence and control. 39:03

  • As usual, I'll give you the demo of how it sounds over backing tracks (both fast and slow) and we'll also experiment with using both the hi-hat and the ride cymbal.
Blow the Crowd Away with Drum Rhythm #4:
The Uptempo Rock Beat

  • Discover another beat you'll recognize right away. It was used in the Blues Brothers movie and also in the song "Pretty Woman". 46:23

  • How to keep a really steady, strong, heavy beat. I'll give you a few tips to change your playing. This is crucial to keeping the band going when you're playing heavier music. (See 50:35).

By now, you'll really start to be getting the hang of it - these rhythms just take a little practice.

Groove with Other Musicians
With Drum Rhythm #5:
The Swing Beat

All the beats so far in been in "4/4" time. That means 4 beats to a measure. This next one is in 6/8 time, meaning 6 beats... So instead of counting ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR, you count ONE-TWO-THREE-ONE-TWO-THREE.

If it sounds complicated , don't worry - IT'S NOT. I'll show you exactly what to do. With this beat, you'll be playing what's called a triplet feel.

And you'll have everything need to start rcoking.

These 5 core beats will give you an awesome foundation and you use them to get started playing your favorite styles -- rock, blues, jazz, funk, pop, country, gospel, or whatever you want. Don't get me wrong -- I'm not saying you'll be a master in one hour, but you'll be able to at least get started with these 5 beats.

And that's only the first DVD in this 3 DVD series! I want to help you become a solid a solid drummer in record time, so on DVD 2, I will teach you all about drum technique.

Developing Solid Drumming Technique
Is All About Being Comfortable

Technique isn't about "playing fast". That's only a little true. It's all about being in shape so you can play easily. You don't want to be stiff! Here's a few of the critical things you'll learn on DVD 2:

  • How to hold the sticks to create the best possible sound. Hint: If you're too gripping too tightly, your sound will suffer. Pay attention at 1:18.

  • Learn both the "match grip" and the "traditional grip". These are both great ways to play. You can choose whatever is most comfortable for you, so you'll have a consistently great sound. 3:23

  • How and when to use "rim shot sounds" - a very useful technique that will help you create a greater variety of cool sounds. 5:38

  • How to bounce your sticks like a basketball to give you the proper sound. Many drummers miss out on this! 7:13

  • I'll show you how to play drum rolls and how to work them up to hyperspeed. The key is practicing with the "French grip" technique - see 9:47

  • How to find the balance point on the stick and use the optimum amount of finger and wrist motion. You'll be developing world class drum techniques from the beginning. 11:18

The Easy, Simple, and Fun
Way To Learn the Art of the Drum Fill.

Wonder
"Stevie Wonder is a really nice guy."
  • Yes, you will learn to play fills, and I'll show EXACTLY how to get started with this fun technique. There's several tips to doing this right. See 14:11.

  • The double stroke roll is an even more advanced way to do rolls. Plus, learn how to practice this on a practice pad or a pillow. The best part is you can practice it while you're watching TV. 20:11

  • How to substitute feet for hands and get all kinds of killer combinations going on your rolls and drum fills. 25:46

  • The "soft-hard" drill is a great way to improve your control over the sticks. It's another thing you can practice while watching TV or a movie. I'll show you this one at 27:33

  • The "crush roll" (also known as the press roll) is another technique that I'll show you. You can combine this with the other kinds of rolls to create amazing sounds. Watch 29:57.

  • Introducing the "paradiddle" - a sophisticated rhythmic pattern you can use to take your fills to the next dimension, especially when you try all kinds of combinations involving the toms, the ride cymbal, or the feet. I'll show you at 32:33

  • How to play "flams" - another killer drum rudiment that you can learn and master. It sounds funky and sophisticated. 40:47

  • Also, the flam-tap, flam-paraddidle, and more cool techniques to give you an arsenal of awesome drum fill chops. 43:30

  • How to develop what I call "coordinated independence" - this is how you can play 2 different rhythms at the same time. It's a lot of fun to learn. 45:52.

So just to recap -- On DVD 1, you'll learn the basic beats. On DVD 2, you'll more about technique.

And I'll drive it all home on DVD 3 when I give a "live" lesson to a student who has never played drums before, teaching the same basic beats on DVD 1.

Not only will this be a great review, but more important, it will illuminate the common pitfalls that beginners usually encounter.

You'll Make Amazingly Fast Progress
By Avoiding the Most Common Mistakes.

  • Watch as my student makes the classic blunder with the sticks... But you won't mess this up! See 2:05.

  • Learn to make sure you hit the cymbal with the correct part of the sticks. You'll also avoid hitting too soft or too hard, or using too much or too little wrist mostion 5:48.

  • The most critical problem areas when trying to combine the various pieces of the drum kit. 10:59.

  • Avoid the #1 bad habit that happens with your feet. It's a great idea to develop positive habits as early as possible. 14:33.

Become One of the Most
Sought-After Musicians In Town.

How can I be so sure? Look, guitarists are a dime a dozen. Everyone and their grandma wants to play guitar or bass. But good drummers are hard to find. If you want proof, just check out any open mic night. You'll almost always see 10 or 12 guitarists waiting to play and 1 or 2 drummers if you're lucky.

If you become a solid drummer, you'll have your choice of what to band to play with. In fact, don't be surprised if bands and musicians are banging on your door, demanding to pay you to play at their gigs or in the studio. Personally, I get flown all around the world on a regular basis to play huge concerts.

Even if you stay local, you'll be one of the most in demand musicians around.

Just imagine inviting your friends and family to a bar or open-mic night and blowing them when you rock the house. Jaws will drop and respect will be earned. It's up to you whether or not you let anyone know you learned the secrets from me.

Rock on,

Gerson Reyes

P.S. STILL not convinced? Here's what a few of my students have to say about learning from me...

"Hi, my name is Melena and I'm an Afro-Cuban Percussionist with 15 years professional experience in the music industry. I have studied Hand Technique with Gerson Reyes for several years and he has been a very important mentor in my studies of Rudiments. He has taught me unique rudiments that I have been able to apply to both Timbales and Congas. He is a very kind and patient teacher, but relays with a strong sense of conviction the importance of consistency, and discipline for practising. I highly recommend Gerson Reyes as an Educator for Drummers."

Melena
Percussionist for Stevie Wonder, Barry White, Julio Iglesias, John Tesh, Macy Grey, Sting and many more

"Gerson is a Technical and Rudimental Master. I have had many world-famous drum and percussion teachers in which I've studied with, but one of the ones who stood out was Gerson's Rudimental and Technical influence's that helped me in my all around playing of different instruments. I alway tell everyone who wants to learn how to play or read music go with Gerson. I have had a successful career playing with many different artists of several different styles of music and one person who has contributed to my career in many ways was Gerson. Thank you!!"
